I can't believe a month of self-employment has already passed! It's been a little weird, I can't lie to you. But February is here and I feel like someone has lit the fire under my - well, you get the idea. it's time to get serious! This week started with a new client, and the first rough sketches for several new products! My collaboration with my sister Sandi (a.k.a "Design Hotline") is growing and it's been so much fun brainstorming and creating with her. She keeps me focused and on track. I can't thank her enough for welcoming me into her world.
This morning (after jostling some Loading Dock paperwork and touching base with Sandi), It occurred to me that it might be fun to sketch onto a roll of paper, rather than a journal or pad. So I set up my desk with a roll running from back to front and I was able to keep adding to the sketches - like a continuous player piano roll!
Today's continuous line of thought...
I highly recommend it! Just be careful not to smudge the work you've already done.
